New Look for YouTube Videos

Anyone who's created a Fan Channel on Viki knows about a great feature we've offered for awhile, which allows people to link to videos from select websites and use our tool to create subtitles on those videos.

YouTube videos in particular are really popular, so we wanted to give you a head's up about changes in the appearance of how YouTube videos and the subtitles now display on Viki.

The following changes have been made at the request of YouTube:

• No text will be placed on top of their videos


• Timed comments will be turned off


• Only one subtitle language will display at a time. You can still edit your language setting to choose a different subtitle language.

We're currently working with YouTube to find the best solution for both them and our community. So if you have any feedback, please let us know! Non-YouTube videos will not change.
