Through your contribution settings, you're able to make yourself available to subtitle, segment, moderate or even manage a Channel, and Channel staff members will be able to search for and contact you! For example, if you want to subtitle a video from English to Spanish, enter that in your profile info. You'll also need to fill out the number of hours per week that you're willing to contribute. This is because some shows, such as those that are on-air, may require a weekly time commitment. If you're unsure about what to enter, we suggest selecting 1 - 2 hours a week. Now, if a Channel is looking for an English t0 Spanish subtitler, they can find you and send you a private message!
NOTE: You don't have to wait for Channel teams to contact you. If there's a video or Channel you want to be a part of, send a private message to the Channel Manager or Moderators, and ask to join their team.
To let people know how you'd like to contribute:
- Sign in or sign up to Viki
- Navigate to your profile page on Viki. To do this, click on the pull down menu next to your username at the top of the page, and select "My Profile."
- Click on "Edit Profile" next to your profile picture
- Go to the "Contribute to Viki" tab and enter your information
