After losing a bet, Máiquel dies his hair blonde and that triggers a chain of events that reveals his destiny. In the span of 24 hours, goes from nobody to hero to outlaw. The Man of the Year received the Best Film and Best Director award winner at the Miami Brazilian Film Festival and was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival!

Be With Me, a Singaporean film, tells three different stories, all woven around love, hope and destiny. One of the stories, "Meant To Be," tells the true story of Theresa Chan, a woman who has been deaf-blind since she was 14. Theresa, who is now in her 60s, is a beacon of hope and strength for life, as well as this beautiful film.
Under the Bombs (تحت القصف taht alqasf) is a Lebanese film set at the end of the 2006 Lebanon War. Zeina Nasrueddi is a Lebanese Muslim who has been living in Dubai. When marital troubles arise, she sends her son to spend the summer with her sister in Lebanon. When the war breaks out, she travels to Lebanon and convinces a taxi driver to join her on the incredibly risky journey to find her son and sister. This heart-stopping film was filmed with only two hired actors. Everyone else appearing in the film are real refugees, soldiers and journalists, playing themselves. The film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival and won both the Alternative Vision Award and EIUC Award at the Venice Film Festival.

Monster Thursday (Monstertorsdag), a Norwegian romantic drama, is an unconventional film about a love triangle and the hunt for the perfect surfing wave. Monster Thursday was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
Carol's Journey (El viaje de Carol) is a Spanish film directed by Imanol Uribe, and tells the story of a 12-year-old Spanish-American girl who travels from New York to Spain for the first time. The friendships and romance that she encounters there, as well as the secretive world of her mother's family drive this unforgettable tale of a journey into adulthood. This film has been nominated for awards at the Miami Latin Film Festival and the Montreal World Film Festival.
Who's Camus Anyway? (カミュなんて知らない) is a Japanese film that was the winner of the Best Japanese Film award at the Tokyo International Film Festival, and was screened at both the New York Film Festival and the Cannes Film Festival. It tells the story of a group of students in Tokyo who are shooting a film for their student project called "The Bored Murderer." As the film within the film gets more complicated, so do the lives of the film crew. Everything comes together in a wild and unexpected climax.
Munyurangabo is a remarkable, powerful film from Rwanda. Munyurangabo, a Tutsi, is in search for justice after his parents were killed in the Rwandan genocide. He steals a machete and leaves the city with his friend, Sangwa, a Hutu. The film won the Grand Jury Prize at the American Film Institute Festival, Best Film at the Mexico City International Contemporary Film Festival, the SIGNAS Award at the Amiens International Film Festival, and was screened at the Cannes Film Festival.
Day Break (دم صبح, Dam-e Sobh), based on many true stories and also shot in Tehran's prison, is a gripping Iranian film, and was the winner of the Annonay International Film Festival in France as well as the Fajr Film Festival in Tehran. It was also screened at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and the Toronto International Film Festival. It tells the story of a man who has been found guilty of murder and whose life has been given to the victim's family. As he awaits trail, he is caught in limbo between life and death.

Drifters (二弟), a mature and thought-provoking film from China, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. The film is about Hong Yunsheng, who has been deported from the United States, back to his native China. But once there, he is kept from his US-born son. Now Hong tries to bond with both his past and his future.
The Island (Остров), a film from Russia, was the winner of five Nika Awards, including Best Picture. This film takes you to Northern Russia, to a small Russian Orthodox monastery, and to a man who lives there, who is known for his power to heal, foretelling of the future and ability to exorcise demons. But the sin that he committed in his youth haunts him still. This movie is a must-see for anyone drawn to spiritual themes!
Dreams of Dust (Rêves de poussière), is a film from Burkina Faso, Canada and France, and was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. It tells the elegant story of Mocktar, a Nigerien man who, in hopes of turning his back on his past, comes to Essakne, a gold mine in Burkina Faso, only to find that the gold there has dried up. This beautiful, colorful and honest film will take your breath away.
