This summer, Viki is offering FREE titles to heat up your K-Drama binge list. Watch these dramas now, because seriously - this offer is too good to last!

1. W

This romantic-fantasy thriller portrays Oh Yeon Joo (Han Hyo Joo), a smart and independent surgery resident in Seoul, who falls in love with the sexy, self-made millionaire, Kang Chul (Lee Jong Suk). So where’s the twist? Lee Jong Suk is a manwha or cartoon character (he’s too good to be real, ok?!) while Han Hyo Joo’s dad, the author of that manwha series, is trying desperately to kill Lee in the plotline.

Noona Reviews:

The first 6 episodes will seriously keep you up past 4 AM, which is usually when I give up and decide I must go to sleep before becoming dangerously sleep deprived.

2. Legend of the Blue Sea

The writer of My Love from the Star returns to create this timeless love story of a beautiful mermaid, Shim Cheong (Jun Ji Hyun), who falls hopelessly in love with a con-artist, Heo Joon Jae (Lee Min Ho), the reincarnation of her past-life lover who died to save her.

Noona Reviews:

It was Lee Min Ho’s last project before he enlisted in the army. We’ll have to keep this on our library list to re-watch until he finally returns in a few years. The adorable on-screen chemistry between Jun Ji-Hyun and Lee Min-Ho kept us streaming during lunch time at work — plus we ended up spending way too much money on K-beauty products. Jun Ji-Hyun’s skin is flawless in this show, ladies. Flawless.

3. Goodbye Mr. Black

Ji Won (Lee Jin Wook), a highly trained Navy SEAL officer, finds himself framed for the murder of a local man as he tries to investigate the real identity of his father’s killer. With the help of Korean ex-patriots Kaya (Moon Chae Won), Ji Won tries to find his way back to Korea and find his father’s real killer. “Goodbye Mr. Black” is based on a comic written by Hwang Mi Na that is loosely fashioned after “The Count of Monte Cristo” by Alexandre Dumas.

Noona Reviews:

If you like suspense and a revenge story with a romantic twist, this is the drama for you. Lee Jin Wook is sizzling hot as he chases down the bad guys and deals with the heartbreaking betrayal of a childhood friend.

4. Lucky Romance

Shim Bo Nui (Hwang Jung Eum) is very superstitious and does everything she can to ward off bad luck. When the fortuneteller tells her that she must sleep with a man born in the “year of the tiger” (1986) in order to keep her sister alive, Bo Nui tries to seduce the CEO of her company, Je Soo Ho (Ryu Jun Yeol). It doesn’t help that Je Soo is suffering from a trauma that makes him fear any type of physical contact with women!

Noona Reviews:

This hilarious, romcom with a love triangle between Hwang Jung Eum, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Lee Soo Hyuk had us laughing a plenty last year. If you’re in the mood for some classic K-drama romance cliches, you’ll enjoy this beach-watch. Perfect for streaming when you’re out sunbathing on the beach.

Whether you’re new to K-drama or a long-time fan, don’t miss these titles while they’re free on Viki! For more Noona Reviews, check out our Youtube page.

Enjoy!
